Movies of a Legend
There are a few people in the art of film making that have the skills needed to make movies that capture the hearts of the people that watch them. With this ugly fact in play, many wonder, are there any film makers that can get me the film my heart desires? Well my friends, please don’t worry because despite all the junk that passes through the box office today, there are great film makers and directors out there who can deliver. One of these great film makers is none other than Steven Spielberg, who for the past 40 years, has made great strides that few have ever tried.
God or Man
Is Steven the best film director ever? Many will say yes. Why? For starters, it’s all about the power. Spielberg saw that the power needed to make a film great was high. Looking at what he could use, he began to handcraft techniques that gave the public interest. Using tools such as famous composers for his music and taking historical tragedies to the screen gave him the success needed. Making sure to strictly contain the viewers’ attention was key. Meaning, never giving a moment not to think kept you on edge the whole time. Being able to show people the worst of humanity with the action that’s craved was never a problem. In short, he could read the public by heart with results delivered.
Power of the Mind
Unlike the older generation of films, Spielberg would push the limits by bringing more power under one roof to max the performance that the public would love. By moving into more mature settings, he was able, along with other film makers, to get the modern age of film on track. In the latter half of the century. Steven began to get sci-fi on a more powerful position with the public by making movies like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘E.T.’ He also dipped into the horror genre with classic horror movies like ‘Jaws’. Towards the end, with war movies becoming the flavor of the modern era, He began to make WWII movies such as Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan, which would both rock the film world, even to this day.
Steven Spielberg’s style comes from drawing in the moment at the right time. With there always being multiple characters in crucial roles, the feel of the film is never stale with just one main guy through the film. What helps is that he uses the best tech at his will to give affects that are far from sloppy. With the power to micro task his projects, Spielberg has been able to do anything that he has had to do from the right shot to the right line. Also, he only gets actors that will do the job right.
With the height of his power between 1970-2000’s, Spielberg was able to set a record that no one else has been able to beat. This man has more than earned the respect of the generations for getting them the material no one else could have delivered.
