We’ve got a new poster for the upcoming (and already banned in the UK) The Human Centipede II: Full Sequence. If you haven’t seen the first film, perhaps you have more common sense than I do.
I won’t say the movie is bad…but the barely-there storyline didn’t help me stomach the gut-wrenching scenes. There’s cinematic value there, maybe, and I’ll admit art is subjective.
However, this second film is supposed to up the ante in terms of scientific horror. The UK film board has flat-out banned the distribution of the film in any method (includes DVDs, downloads). The trailer merely teases us with what’s to come.
And now we have a cleverly designed movie poster for the film. Bodies (presumably surgically sewn together) are lined up like a skeletal human spine. The tagline, “100% Medically Inaccurate” plays on the first film, which pitched that it was completely medically accurate. Of course, there were only three bodies in the first movie. In this movie,
sadist director Tom Six says there will be 12 bodies.
The Human Centipede II: Full Sequence arrives in the US on October 7. Will it be grotesque? Undoubtedly. Will it be like a train wreck, in which we just can’t pry our eyes away? Quite possibly.
Until then, peep the excellent design of the movie poster!
