Sure – we remember how badly The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 remake tanked last year….but that doesn’t mean Denzel Washington + trains can’t make a great movie! At least that’s what Tony Scott seems to think. The latest is called Unstoppable, and this time the white guy next to Denzel is Chris Pine.
A new trailer appeared online for Unstoppable, which you can watch embedded after the jump. Basically we have another situation with some trains and our selfless hero Denzel happens to be in the wrong place at the right time.
The movie is loosely based on actual events – a couple of train issues in Ohio a while back that caused some concerns, including a runaway train with chemicals on board.
Synopsis: Unstoppable, a 20th Century Fox drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Pits an engineer (Washington) and his conductor (Pine) in a race against time. They’re chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.
Rosario Dawson also stars. Look for the film in theaters Nov. 12.
